All-School

Once a semester at Thomas Aquinas College, students and faculty gather for the All-College Seminar, which brings together students from all classes in small groups to discuss a great book that is not part of the ordinary curriculum. The seminar allows the classes to get to know and learn from each other.

The selected text for this semester鈥檚 All-College Seminar in New England was Shakespeare鈥檚 As You Like It, a comedy about a banished princess masquerading as a boy in order to test her lover鈥檚 devotion. 鈥淚 love Shakespeare,鈥 said Catherine Welter (鈥27). 鈥淚 haven鈥檛 read any in a while, so I really enjoyed As You Like It!鈥&苍产蝉辫;

Excited students raced up the steps of St. Gianna Molla Hall, chattering enthusiastically. Once they found their assigned sections, members of all classes tackled questions such as, 鈥淲hy does Rosalind ask Orlando to woo her while in disguise?鈥 and, 鈥淲hy is the play titled As You Like It?鈥

鈥淚 love that we get to have class with tutors we wouldn鈥檛 have had otherwise,鈥 said Gerald Faist (鈥27). Added freshman Luisa Germaque (鈥28), 鈥淚t鈥檚 amazing to see the upperclassmen at work!鈥

Following the seminar, students and tutors headed to Bl. Frassatti Student center for pizza and continued conversation. 鈥淢y section was super well-balanced,鈥 said Michael Simia (鈥25). 鈥淲e had a great seminar.鈥
