One week after their 天美影院 counterparts, members of the TAC-New England Class of 2024 achieved an important milestone on Saturday: submitting their senior theses.

Around 10 p.m., the seniors began to trickle into Bl. Frassati Student Center, flash drives in hand. One by one, they handed in their theses to the registrar, Dr. Patrick Gardner, as their classmates congratulated them. As 11 p.m. drew closer, increasing numbers of seniors gathered around Dr. Gardner, celebrating and waiting for the few remaining holdouts.

All seniors at Thomas Aquinas College must write an extensive thesis on a topic of their own choosing. It is a six-month labor of love and learning, overseen by a tutor-advisor of their choice. Completion of the thesis in many ways marks the culmination of one鈥檚 studies at TAC 鈥 and is a key step en route to graduation.

When the last thesis was successfully submitted, the room erupted with cheers. Seniors embraced each other in joy and relief, and the party began. Congratulations and high-fives filled the air as Daniela Martens (鈥24) laid out cheese platters for everyone all share. The party continued well into the night, as members of the Class of 2024 celebrated together in accomplishing this momentous academic achievement.

鈥淚鈥檓 so relieved to be done with my thesis,鈥 said Camden Tuffile (鈥24). 鈥淭he thesis was something I never thought I could do, but it turned out to be such a joy to write, and I鈥檓 very proud of how it turned out.鈥
